سياسة الاسترداد

Flint Hill Farm Educational Center, Inc. is a small nonprofit working farm in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania. Everything in our store is made or raised right here, and we want you to be glad you bought it. Here is how we handle refunds, returns, and the occasional mishap. When in doubt, just call us — we are easy to reach and we would rather talk it through than leave you unhappy.

Fresh dairy, eggs, and other perishables

Fresh milk (raw and pasteurized), yogurt, kefir, butter, eggs, fresh chèvre, and anything else perishable cannot be returned or exchanged once it leaves the farm. That is standard food-safety practice, and it protects everyone. Fresh items never go in a mail truck — they're farm pickup or local delivery only.

That said, if something is not right with what you took home, tell us. We stand behind what we make.

Cheese shipped to your door

Our aged cheeses (cheddar, parmesan, manchego, ricotta firma) ship cold-packed within the United States, to addresses a carrier can reach in two days or less. We ship early in the week — Monday through Wednesday — so your cheese is not sitting in a warehouse over a weekend.

Aged cheese travels well — a box that arrives cool rather than cold is normal, and the cheese is fine. But if your cheese arrives damaged, with a broken seal, or genuinely spoiled:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Send a photo or two of the cheese and the packaging — it helps us sort things out with the carrier and fix our packing if something went wrong.
  • We will send a replacement or refund your purchase, whichever you prefer. No need to ship anything back.

Farm pickup orders

Please give your order a quick look when you pick it up at the farm. If anything is missing, wrong, or not up to snuff, tell whoever is at the store and we will make it right on the spot. If you notice a problem after you get home, contact us within 24 hours and we will sort it out — usually with a replacement on your next visit or a refund.

Classes and riding lessons

Life on a farm has taught us that plans change. For cheese-making classes, bread-baking classes, and horseback riding lessons:

  • Reschedule or cancel up to 7 days before your scheduled date and you will receive full credit toward another date.
  • Inside 7 days, we may offer credit toward a future session at our discretion — call us and we will do our best.
  • If we have to cancel — weather, a sick animal, farm life — you choose: a full refund or a new date.

Summer camp

The $200 summer camp deposit is non-refundable. It holds your child's spot, and spots are limited — once a spot is held, we turn other families away. If your plans change and you need to cancel, contact us as soon as you can and we will talk through the rest of your camp payment.

Gift certificates, donations, and animal sponsorships

Gift certificates are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Donations and animal sponsorships support the daily care of our animals and our educational programs, and completed donations and sponsorships are non-refundable. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we put every dollar to work on the farm. If you made a donation in error or were charged twice, contact us right away and we will fix it.

How refunds are paid

When we issue a refund, it goes back to the payment method you used at checkout, through our payment processor. It typically appears on your statement within a few business days, depending on your bank.
