Sending farm cheese for the holidays

If someone on your list likes cheese, this is the one thing we make that can go in a box. Our aged cheeses ship anywhere in the US that a carrier can reach in two days or less, packed cold.

What ships, and what stays

Cheddar, parmesan, manchego and ricotta firma ship. Everything fresh stays at the farm: raw and pasteurized milk, yogurt, kefir, butter, eggs and fresh chèvre are pickup at the farm store.

How it travels

Every order goes out in an insulated liner with ice packs. We ship Monday through Wednesday, so a box never spends a weekend sitting in a warehouse. Order later in the week and your cheese waits in our cooler until the start of the next week.

Aged cheese is built to travel. If a box arrives cool rather than cold, or the ice packs have melted along the way, that is a normal delivery and the cheese is fine.

Getting it there in time

Holiday weeks are busy for every carrier, so order early. Double-check the address, apartment or unit number included, and send it somewhere someone will be home: a box waiting on a porch on a warm afternoon will not stay cool.

What it costs

Most of our aged cheeses are $8 the half pound. Shipping is worked out at checkout from the size of the box and where it is going, and orders of $100 or more ship free.

If something does arrive damaged or spoiled, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the box, the ice packs and the cheese, and we will make it right with a replacement or a refund.
