Terms of service
Who we are
This store belongs to Flint Hill Farm Educational Center, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 14-1953186) at 1922 Flint Hill Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036. Around here we just say Flint Hill Farm, and that's what "we," "us," and "the farm" mean in the rest of these terms.
We're a working farm and an educational center. When you buy our milk, cheese, and eggs, or sign up for a class or a lesson, you're supporting the animals and the programs that keep this place going. Thank you for that.
Agreeing to these terms
By placing an order, booking a class or lesson, or otherwise using this store, you're agreeing to the terms on this page. If anything here doesn't sit right with you, call or email us before you order — we're happy to talk it through.
Ordering and payment
Payments are handled securely by Shopify Payments (including Shop Pay). We never see or store your full card details. Prices are in US dollars, and your payment method is charged when you place your order.
Once in a while we may need to cancel an order — for example, if something sells out before we can pack it, or if an order can't be fulfilled or looks fraudulent. If that happens, we'll refund you in full and let you know.
Pricing and honest mistakes
We do our best to keep prices and product details accurate, but we're farmers with a small crew, and now and then a typo slips through. If we find a pricing error after you've ordered, we'll contact you with the correct price and let you choose: keep the order at the correct price, or cancel it for a full refund.
About our products
Everything we sell is a real farm product, and real farm products vary. That's not a flaw — it's the nature of the thing.
- Color, texture, and flavor change with the season, the pasture, and the animals. No two batches of cheese are exactly alike.
- Cut cheese is portioned by hand, so listed weights are approximate. The piece you receive may weigh a little more or a little less than the listed weight.
- Our raw Jersey cow milk and raw goat milk are sold under our Pennsylvania raw milk permit.
- Product photos show a typical example, not the exact item you'll receive.
Pickup and shipping
Fresh dairy and eggs — milk, yogurt, kefir, butter, fresh chèvre, and eggs — never ship by mail: pick them up at the farm, or choose local delivery ($5 flat) if checkout offers it for your address. Come see us at 1922 Flint Hill Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036 during store hours: Monday through Saturday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Sunday 12 to 5:30 PM.
Aged cheeses ship cold-packed within the United States only, to addresses a carrier can reach in two days or less — if yours can't be, we may cancel and refund the order in full. Rates are calculated at checkout; orders of $150 or more ship free. We ship early in the week — Monday through Wednesday — so your cheese doesn't sit in a warehouse over a weekend.
We don't offer subscriptions of any kind. Every order is a one-time order.
Returns, refunds, and when something's wrong
Because we sell perishable food, we can't accept returns of food products — that's standard food safety practice. But if something isn't right, we want to fix it.
- Shipped cheese that arrives damaged or spoiled: contact us within 24 hours of delivery, with photos, and we'll send a replacement or issue a refund.
- Pickup orders: please look over your order at pickup. We'll sort out any issue on the spot, or you can contact us within 24 hours.
Reach us at (610) 838-2928 or info@flinthill.farm and we'll make it right.
Classes, lessons, and camp
Our cheese-making and bread-baking classes, horseback riding lessons, and summer camp all happen on a working farm. A working farm has animals, uneven ground, weather, and farm equipment, and being around those things carries the ordinary risks of any farm visit. By booking, you accept those ordinary risks for yourself and anyone you register.
- Follow the instructions of our staff at all times, especially around the animals. It keeps you, our animals, and our people safe. We may pause or end anyone's participation for safety reasons.
- We may ask participants (or a parent or guardian) to sign a separate waiver before certain activities.
- Need to change plans? Reschedule or cancel a class or lesson up to 7 days before the scheduled date for full credit. Inside 7 days, we may offer credit toward a future session at our discretion — call us and we'll do our best.
- Summer camp requires a $200 non-refundable deposit.
Gift certificates, donations, and animal sponsorships
Gift certificates are non-refundable and can't be redeemed for cash. Donations and animal sponsorships, once completed, are also non-refundable — those funds go straight into feed, care, and programs. If you have a question about a donation or sponsorship, contact us and we'll help.
Your account
Customer accounts are hosted by Shopify and are passwordless — you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so there's no password to remember or lose. Because your email is the key to your account, please keep access to it secure, and let us know if you think someone else has been using your account.
Our photos and words
The photos, writing, logos, and other content on this site belong to Flint Hill Farm (or are used with permission). You're welcome to share them personally — we love it when people spread the word about the farm — but please don't reuse them commercially without asking us first.
Limitation of liability
We stand behind what we sell and how we run our programs, and if something goes wrong we'll work with you to fix it. That said, here's the legal part in plain words: to the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any order or booking is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses — things like a missed event or other knock-on costs. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law says you always have.
Please handle perishable food sensibly: refrigerate it promptly and follow any storage guidance we give you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Pennsylvania. But honestly — talk to us first. Nearly every problem can be fixed with a phone call.
A note on translations
This site is offered in several languages for our neighbors' convenience. If a translation ever differs from the English version of these terms, the English version is the one that counts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always live on this page. If you keep using the store after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
