Redirect your state taxes to a working farm.
If your business pays Pennsylvania corporate or pass-through taxes, you can direct some of that liability here instead and recover most of it as a state tax credit.
How it works
The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program lets Pennsylvania corporations that provide funds to Educational Improvement Organizations redirect state tax liability instead of paying it to the state. Flint Hill Farm Educational Center is recognized by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development in that capacity.
Because the state credit and a federal deduction can both apply, the real cost of a gift is usually a fraction of what the farm receives. Your accountant can walk you through the exact math for your business. Full program details are on the state's own page, dced.pa.gov/programs/educational-improvement-tax-credit-program-eitc/.
